Damn, too bad the guitars were synth. They kind of broke the image (since the orchestras were pretty good on the samples) but it's not that bad on that.

The song itself is nice. One thing I noticed that could be better was the use of the leading string ensemble. The sample you used was a little "slow" meaning that it didn't have attack and all of the notes you had there came a little late making it sound a little sloppy.

But it was nice. I liked how you had a theme at start and then brought it back in the end. Something I find very hard in my songs. Rolling On Floor Laughing! Keep this up.

Again, thank you :) (Smile) Well, I just got the Gold edition of the plugin I use (when I did this song I had the silver edition, which is much MUCH more limited). I will redo the orchestra on this one, and add a guitar solo instead of a keyboard solo when I get more ram.

Hey! This is pretty good stuff man!

If your computer can cope with it, it may be worth your while to fully orchestrate the strings and brass with different articulations etc. You will find it will give you a really true film-score sound.

Do you have any formal compositional training?

Sorry, haven't been on @ dmusic for a while... have been busy recording an album! :) (Smile) DBamford, I don't have any training (I am self-trained), but I know how to use articulations etc. It's just that my computer can't handle it. But I use a LOT more articulations now, than I did before (when I recorded this song), in the record that I am producing right now. I haven't put any songs from the new album here yet, since I want to record the vocals first. But you will hear what I mean when I say that I have improved alot, if you listen to them when they actually DO appear! Thanks for your comments by the way :) (Smile) I really appreciate it!
